About
The Outdoor Shepherd

Guided by Faith. Rooted in Creation.

The Outdoor Shepherd was created out of a deep love for the outdoors and an even deeper devotion to following the life of Jesus Christ. We believe the fields, forests, rivers, and waters God created are more than places of recreation — they are places of silence, connection, reflection, discipleship, and calling.

Our Mission

The Outdoor Shepherd exists to glorify God and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through hunting, fishing, and life lived together in God’s creation.

Everything we create — stories, videos, conversations, and experiences — flows from this mission. The outdoors is not the end goal; it is the setting where faith is lived out and shared.

Why "The Outdoor Shepherd"?

The imagery of a shepherding is woven throughout Scripture. It is the epitome of what it means to be a good leader: a shepherd guides, protects, provides, and walks with the flock — never driving from behind, never seeking glory for himself.

The Outdoor Shepherd exists to walk alongside others in the outdoors, pointing hearts toward the one that Scripture calls the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ. This platform is not about chasing trophies, arguing doctrinal differences, or lifting up personal achievement. It is about guidance, stewardship, and faithfully seeking the Father’s presence in His wonderful Creation.

Life Lived Together

At its heart, The Outdoor Shepherd is about life lived together. Around campfires, in boats, sitting in blinds, watching sunrise and sunset, along trails, and in quiet places. This is where real conversations happen. Stories are shared. Questions are asked. Faith is strengthened.

We believe discipleship happens best in relationship — through shared experiences, honest conversation, and walking alongside one another on mountains and in valleys, in both joy and struggle.

What We Believe

  • God is the Creator of all things, and Creation declares His glory. (Psalm 19:1)
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the source of salvation. (Hebrews 5:9)
  • The Church is more than a place; it is a way of living. (Ephesians 2:19-22)
  • Stewardship of the land and water is a responsibility God has entrusted to us. (Genesis 1:28)
  • Community and fellowship are essential for spiritual growth. (Acts 2:42)

Our Invitation

Whether you’re an experienced hunter, angler, or someone who simply finds peace in the great outdoors, you are welcome here.

While we are Wesleyan at heart, we invite communion from all walks of Christian faith. Come walk the fields and waters with us and let us explore what it means to say, “The world is my parish.” (John Wesley)

Come walk the fields, search the woods, and seek the waters with us.

Be guided by faith. Be rooted in creation. Let’s seek to follow The Good Shepherd.
